Will there be a vaccine available if a pandemic occurs? |

Based
on current vaccine production capabilities, it would take at least
six months before a vaccine would become widely available once a
pandemic strain occurs. The federal government is making a
significant investment to improve the technology for vaccine
development and to build up production capacity. But if a pandemic
occurs, it is likely that the vaccine would not be available in the
early stage or would be available in limited amounts.
