Who should get vaccinated? |

In general,
anyone who wants to reduce their chances of getting the flu. In
particular, people who are at high risk for having serious
complications or people who live with or care for those at high
risk.
During flu
season when vaccine supplies are limited or delayed, the CDC will
make recommendations regarding who the priority groups are for
vaccination. In previous years, the priority groups included:
· persons
aged 65 years and older, with and without chronic health conditions;
· residents
of long-term care facilities;
· persons
aged 2–64 years with chronic health problems;
· people
with a weakened immune system;
· children
age 6–59 months;
· pregnant
women;
· health-care
personnel who provide direct patient care;
· household
contacts and out-of-home caregivers of children age 6-59 months
