What are the symptoms of avian flu in humans? |
|
People who have been infected with the current strain of H5N1 have generally had symptoms similar to seasonal flu
(fever, cough, sore throat and muscle aches). But these symptoms
tend to be more severe, as H5N1 attacks the lungs more aggressively
which can result in life-threatening complications such as
pneumonia, respiratory failure and multi-organ failure.
