Should hunters be concerned about avian influenza? |

is also no indication that waterfowl or other wild birds hunted in
the United States carry H5N1. While experts believe the risk to
hunters is low, scientists cannot guarantee there is no risk.
Hunters should always practice good hygiene when handling or
cleaning any wild game. That means wear gloves and disinfect your
hands afterward with hand sanitizer or soap and water.
